Why use WebP to JPG Converter?

100% private

Conversion runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your images are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.

Batch in one go

Convert one image or hundreds at once. A single file downloads directly; multiple files come back as one tidy .zip.

Built-in image editor

Crop, rotate, flip, adjust brightness/contrast, apply filters or add annotations before converting — without leaving the page.

Works on any device

No install and no account. It runs in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iPhone.

About the WebP format

WebP is a modern image format from Google that delivers smaller files than JPEG or PNG at comparable quality, which is why so many websites now serve images as .webp. The downside is that older programs, some editors and many upload forms don’t accept WebP. Converting to JPG gives you a file that opens and uploads anywhere.

Transparent WebP to JPG

WebP can store transparency like PNG. JPG can’t, so any transparent areas are flattened onto a white background during conversion. If you need to keep transparency, convert to PNG instead — LocalTools has a tool for that too.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Decoding, any editing, and the conversion all run entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device, so it even works offline once the page has loaded.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like — a single image downloads directly, and multiple images are bundled into one .zip so you get everything in a single click.

What happens to transparency?

JPG doesn’t support transparency, so transparent areas become white. Convert to PNG instead if you need to preserve a transparent background.
