Why use PNG to JPG Converter?

100% private

Conversion runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your images are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.

Batch in one go

Convert one image or hundreds at once. A single file downloads directly; multiple files come back as one tidy .zip.

Built-in image editor

Crop, rotate, flip, adjust brightness/contrast, apply filters or add annotations before converting — without leaving the page.

Works on any device

No install and no account. It runs in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iPhone.

PNG vs JPG — which should you use?

PNG is lossless and supports transparency, which makes it perfect for screenshots, logos and line art. But for photographs a PNG can be many times larger than the same picture as JPG. Converting photographic PNGs to JPG can cut the file size dramatically with no visible difference, which is ideal for email, web uploads and saving storage.

Transparency becomes white

Because JPG has no transparency channel, any transparent areas in your PNG are placed on a white background when converting. For logos or graphics that need to stay transparent, keep them as PNG.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Decoding, any editing, and the conversion all run entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device, so it even works offline once the page has loaded.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like — a single image downloads directly, and multiple images are bundled into one .zip so you get everything in a single click.

Why convert PNG to JPG?

Mainly to reduce file size. For photos, JPG is far smaller than PNG at the same visual quality, which makes images easier to email, upload or store.
