Tiling, rotation and opacity matter more than you think
A single centered watermark is easy to crop out of a screenshot. Tiling repeats it across the whole page; a slight rotation (15–30°) makes it harder to remove cleanly while still readable. Lower opacity keeps the document usable while making the mark obvious enough for its purpose.
Visible only — not a security control
A text watermark is a human signal, not a technical barrier. Anyone with a PDF editor can remove or alter it. If you need to prove provenance or detect tampering, use the cryptographic signing tool instead (or in addition). Watermarks are perfect for internal status, review copies, and attribution.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Every page is read, rearranged and written entirely in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device, so it works even offline once the page has loaded — ideal for confidential documents.
Is the watermark added to every page?
Yes. The text is stamped onto all pages at the size, opacity and angle you choose. Turn on tiling to repeat it across each page so it’s harder to crop out.
Can I change the opacity?
Yes — the opacity slider goes from faint to solid, so you can make a subtle background mark or a bold overlay.
