How to convert

  1. 1

    Enter a number

Type into any field — binary, octal, decimal or hexadecimal. Every other base updates at the same moment.

  2. 2

    Read every base at once

There’s no direction to set: all the common bases show side by side, plus a custom-base (2–36) row for anything else.

  3. 3

    Copy what you need

Each row has its own copy button. Values are computed with BigInt, so even 64-bit hexadecimal stays exact.

Why use Decimal to Hexadecimal Converter?

No install, no account — any modern browser on desktop or phone.

How decimal converts to hexadecimal

Divide the number by 16 repeatedly and read the remainders backwards, writing 10–15 as A–F. For example, 255 ÷ 16 = 15 remainder 15 → FF; 4095 → FFF. Each hex digit packs exactly four binary bits, which is why programmers reach for hex whenever bytes are involved.

Where you’ll write hex

CSS colors (#1E90FF), memory addresses, Unicode code points (U+00E9) and byte dumps all use hex because one byte is exactly two digits: 0–255 is 00–FF. This converter shows binary, octal and every base 2–36 alongside, all BigInt-exact.

Yes. Values are computed with BigInt, so even 64-bit hexadecimal converts exactly, with no rounding.

Does anything get uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript — nothing you type is uploaded, stored or logged, and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
