The Fahrenheit to Celsius formula
To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, subtract 32 and multiply by 5/9: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9. For example, 98.6 °F becomes (98.6 − 32) × 0.5556 = 66.6 × 0.5556 ≈ 37 °C. A quick mental shortcut is to subtract 30 and then halve the result.
